Standing room only at the SIGOMA MP Group meeting

It was standing room only at our MP Group Fair Funding meeting yesterday in Parliament.

Our Chair, Cllr Sir Stephen Houghton, and newly appointed MP Group Chair, Sally Jameson MP, outlined the proposals in Fair Funding 2.0 and discussed how we can support our members in securing the best possible outcome for the areas that need it the most.

We were delighted to have Minister Alison McGovern MP in attendance, who reaffirmed the government's commitment to delivering a Fair Funding Review based on need.

It was also a pleasure to formally welcome Sally Jameson MP as our new Parliamentary Group Chair, alongside our new Vice Chairs, Sarah Hall MP and Josh Fenton-Glynn MP.

We look forward to continuing this vital work with our SIGOMA Parliamentary Group.
