SIGOMA launch campaign for fairer funding in Parliament

Last week we launched our summer campaign for sufficient, sustainable and fair funding for local government at a reception in the House of Lords.

Over the past 13 years, local government has seen its funding cut significantly. Our members are some of the worst affected, with the largest cuts to local government funding experienced by some of the most deprived areas. So far, levelling up has failed to rectify this.

With the launch of our summer campaign, we hope to see sufficient, sustainable and fair funding for local government.

It was great to see a number of MPs representing SIGOMA areas in attendance and showing their support for the campaign.
